20 Motivational books to inspire change
I’ll readily admit that I’m not great at making time to read books.

It’s something I’m prioritising going forward, and it’s also why I’ve taken to listening to 60 minutes of audiobooks each day during my commute. Because books truly are a most magical resource that it’s foolish to ignore.

Whatever your passion or goal, some of the greatest thinking on it has likely already been captured and distilled, sharing lessons and perspectives so that others can get a head start. Books truly offer the epitome of standing on the shoulders of giants.

And if you’re looking for some fresh inspiration to spark change in your own life, this curated list of some of the most inspirational books of all time is well worth a look.

If you haven’t read them already, I strongly recommend making them your next Audible or Kindle download.

With that in mind, New York Magazine crowdsourced an exhaustive list of their readers’ most burning food-related questions and put them to a couple of experts.

This information-packed article is the impressive result.

A potted history of men and emotion
From Odysseus and Achilles, to CS Lewis, via the Romantic Period, this piece from the Art of Manliness provides a brief historical overview of men displaying their emotions.

Contrary to popular belief it isn’t only recently that men have ‘become in touch with their feminine side’ – more it has peaked and troughed according to the period and socio-cultural factors at play.

… and a final dash of inspiration
“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”

Viktor Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
